See the full documentation at
www.microsoft.com/windows2000/docs/SPDeploy.doc
MS Word or Word Viewer required
1. Make a folder on your hard drive called Win2000. Copy the i386 folder from your Windows 2000 installation CD to the Win2000 folder
Note: The following two steps assume you are working from the C drive. Change the drive letters accordingly.
2. From the Run command type c:\w2ksp3.exe /x. When prompted type SP to create a folder in which to extract the files. (The "x" switch will extract the files only)
3. From the Run command type c:\sp\i386\update\update.exe -s:c:\Win2000. (The "s" switch will integrate the service pack into your installation files.

4. Install Windows 2000 from the Win2000\i386 directory.
If you want to create a new installation CD with the SP3 build, rename the Win2000 folder to I386. Create a new CD using all the files/folders on the original CD-ROM EXCEPT the I386 directory. Use the newly renamed I386 directory in it's place.
