Administrators (Administrator) Administrators  
Power Users (Standard) None Run legacy applications, in addition to Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional certified applications.

Install programs that do not modify operating system files or install system services.

Customize systemwide resources including printers, date, time, power options, and other Control Panel resources.

Create and manage local user accounts and groups.

Stop and start system services which are not started by default.

 

Users (Limited) Authenticated Users, Interactive Users  
Guests None Disabled by default
By default, members of the Guests group are denied access to the application and system event logs. Otherwise, members of the Guests group have the same access rights as members of the Users group.
Backup Operators   Members of this group can back up and restore files on the computer, regardless of the permissions that protect those files. They can also log on to the computer and shut it down, but they cannot change security settings.

 

Help Services   Members of this group can use helper applications to diagnose system problems.
 

Network Configuration Operators

  Members of this group have limited administrative privileges that allow them to configure networking features, such as IP address assignment.
Replicator   Members of this group are allowed to replicate files across a domain.
Remote Desktop User   Members of this group have the right to log on remotely.
